Wedding Photography Terms & Conditions

Definitions

In this document, "we," "us," "our," and "ourselves" refer to Dave Martin Photography. "You," "your," and "yourselves" refer to Partner 1 and Partner 2 as specified on the booking form.

Copyright

The Photographer holds the copyright to all images created during your event.

Photography License & Coverage

We will take photos at our discretion, making every effort to meet your requests. We’ll have artistic freedom in choosing poses and locations. While we aim to capture everyone you want, we can’t guarantee that no one will be missed. Sometimes, our movement may be limited by venue rules, affecting our ability to get unobstructed shots. Lighting conditions may alter colors in your photos. We’re not liable for any photos missed due to technical issues, despite regular equipment checks.

Pricing

All services and products listed on the booking form are priced as of your booking date. Any items not listed will be priced based on the current rates at the time of your order.

Booking Fee

The booking fee secures your wedding date, preventing others from booking us. It becomes non-refundable after 14 days, per UK consumer law.

Payments

Your booking is confirmed upon payment of the booking fee, which will be deducted from your total package cost. The remaining balance is due two months before your wedding date via online banking, or a 3% service charge will apply. Payment for any pre-wedding shoot is also due two months in advance. All additional items must be paid for at the time of order. Ownership of products remains with us until fully paid.

Unforeseen Circumstances

If for some unforeseen circumstances i cannot attend your wedding due to events (like illness or accidents), I will try to send a trained substitute. In the rare event of cancellation or total photographic failure, I will refund any fees paid.

Cancellation

Cancellations must be in writing or via email. If you cancel within 14 days, you’ll receive a full refund of the booking fee. Cancellations made after this period but up to three months before the wedding will forfeit the booking fee. If you cancel within three months of the wedding, the remaining balance is due immediately.

Ownership

We retain copyright over all photographs. You will receive professionally edited, high-resolution copies for personal use, which will be non-watermarked.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule, and we’re available on the new date, the remaining balance must be paid in full before the transfer.

Product Availability

If a product (like an album) is unavailable, we will provide a similar quality alternative, which will be considered acceptable.

Archive & Six-Month Rule

We will store your wedding photos for six months. Please download and back them up as soon as you receive the link. If your package includes an album, it must be ordered within this time frame; otherwise, it will be forfeited. A £100 archive fee applies for photo retrieval after six months, if available.

Official Photographers

We are the sole authorized photographers for your wedding.

Timings

We begin our work two hours before the ceremony and finish by 8:00 PM.

Food Provision

A hot meals must be provided for the during the wedding breakfast.

Preparation Photos

We take preparation photos only for Partner 1 unless Partner 2 is in the same location.

Amateur Photographers

Guests are welcome to take photos, but we do not allow amateur photographers to shadow us, as it can hinder our work.

Wedding Breakfast

No photography occurs during the wedding breakfast except for the couple’s entrance, speeches, and cake cutting.

Pre-Wedding Shoot with Guest Book

The Pre-wedding shoot takes place at an agreed venue. You must select photos for the guest book at least two months before the wedding. If we don’t receive your selection, we cannot guarantee the guest book will be made. We are not liable for any damage to the guest book during the wedding.

Accidental Damage & Personal Injury

While we prioritize safety, we are not responsible for any accidental damage or injuries that occur during photoshoots. Clients participate at their own risk.

Album Delivery

Wedding albums will be delivered directly from the manufacturer via courier at no extra charge.
